The Acoustic Flyers is a group of musicians based in Surrey, UK. We come as a two, three or four-piece, and play acoustic guitars, bass and flute, with strong vocals and harmonies. No drums, no screaming guitar solos - just a hand-picked selection of great songs, performed to a high standard, with a relaxed, enjoyable acoustic vibe. And no backing tapes, loopers or drum machines either! Real people, real music. All this means that we can play in places where a full band would just be way too loud and take up far too much space. Tap your toes, sing along, maybe even dance - and all without suffering hearing loss, property damage or complaints from the neighbours.
We're experienced musicians who've been playing in all manner of bands for many years. Our extensive repertoire incorporates an eclectic selection of pop, rock, blues and country songs from the past 60 years, all performed with an acoustic twist, by well-known artists like the Beatles, Eagles, Kinks, Oasis, Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones and Van Morrison. Not to mention many lesser-known gems and some 'all join in' classics to end the evening.
If you'd like to book us to play at an event, festival, function, party, pub or club, please get in touch. Our charges are reasonable and we are fully self-contained. We will consider performing at charity and community events for a reduced charge, or maybe even free, subject to certain conditions. Importantly, we have PLI (public liability insurance) and all our equipment has been PAT tested - both absolutely essential for your safety and peace of mind. We are part of a well-established band called the Surrey Pumas, a rock and pop band, where we join forces with an absolutely fantastic drummer and brilliant electric guitarists!
